The people behind Snøglimt
Snøglimt was founded by Helene and Christoffer, who live together and share an interest in dogs, nature walks, and good craftsmanship.
The idea behind the brand arose from a desire to create dog accessories that are durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing for walks. Products that can withstand active use outdoors, while having a calm and nature-inspired expression.
Snøglimt has therefore been developed step by step, with a focus on quality, materials, and details.
Gaia – a natural part of the story
Helene and Christoffer also have a dog named Gaia, who has been on many of the walks that inspired the development of Snøglimt.
When you spend a lot of time walking with a dog, it also becomes clear how equipment performs in practice. You notice how collars and leashes behave on walks, which materials work best, and which details make everyday life easier.
In this way, Gaia has been a natural part of the process behind many of the product ideas.
An interest in hiking and dog life
Much of the inspiration for Snøglimt comes from walks in forests and nature.
When a dog is taken for walks in various types of terrain and weather, demands are placed on the equipment. Collars and leashes must withstand use, friction, and weather over time.
These experiences have been an important part of the product development.
Craftsmanship and material choices
Snøglimt products are made with a focus on craftsmanship and solid materials.
Many of the collars are hand-knotted in paracord, a material known for its strength and durability. When the rope is knotted or braided into patterns, the collar is built up layer by layer.
